Our staff

We recognise that a care worker is somebody with whom you will spend a great deal of time with and will become not only professional help to you but also a good friend and companion.

For this reason we carefully select staff members with whom you feel comfortable and relaxed to be in company of.

All our staff are thoroughly screened, insured, CRB (criminal record bureau) checked at an enhanced level, a full work history obtained and reference checked in depth.

One employment commences, all staff undergo an in depth induction programme in accordance with the regulations from CQC (Care Quality Commission).

We use highly experienced trainers to provide training to the staff covering all aspects of care including:

• Moving and handling

• Health and safety

• First aid

• Food hygiene and safety

• Infection control

• Fire safety

• Abuse awareness

We also encourage our staff to attend further courses that include:

• Understanding dementia

• Understanding the needs of carers

• Understanding challenging behaviour

• Dealing with stress

• Loss and bereavement

• Personal care including end of life care

• Risk assessment

All our staff are also encouraged, if they have yet to do so, enrol and complete the NVQ (National Vocation Qualification) level 2 and 3 in care.

By engaging in the above we know that all our staff will show the highest level of attentiveness, compassion, moral character and professionalism towards our clients.
